The documentary film The Opera Agent follows the work of the successful Finnish opera agent, Erkki Alste, behind the scenes. Berlin-based Alste has studied music on a very high level, but despite his degree in opera singing, he has chosen the career of an opera agent. He does not stand onstage himself, instead helping opera singers, directors and conductors to create an international career.
